Benni Shumlin (they/them) is a designer from Vermont, based in Brooklyn.
Their work, in leather, furniture, and wearables, examines how hierarchies of taste, sensuality, and subversion manifest in physical form. Their creations seek to embody experiences of individuality, pleasure, sensuality, and an exploration of ugliness. Benni hopes that the work connects viewers with their freakish sides.

Benni’s work has been featured in Vogue, Complex, and on social accounts of depop, Grailed, and hidden.ny. It can be seen at establishments Tolo, Pig Bar, and Parcelle in Manhattan, NYC.
